Library

Pennant Hills Public School library has an up to date and extensive collection of resources that support the school’s various teaching and learning programs. Students and staff have access to a variety of print and non-print resources, computers, audio-visual media and an interactive whiteboard.

The teacher-librarian takes all classes for a 40 minute lesson per week.  Literature promotion, information skills and borrowing are major components of these lessons.  Teachers are also able to book their class into the library to complete specific research units thereby allowing the teacher-librarian and class teacher to work collaboratively.

Students are able to access the library before school and at lunchtime.  During this time they are able to borrow, use computers, read, draw, play a variety of board games and complete class assignments.  Students are also able to access the library catalogue at home through the NSW Department of Education & Training’s portal “Kidspace”.
